Was upset with cheese.
I’m trying to decide if the reporters or videographers try really hard to come up with these one-line captions, or if they don’t.
Here’s some context, if you must have it.

This is no laughing matter. She did seem pretty cheesed off about the whole ordeal.

Oh, it’s much more important than that. I have eaten the old cheese of which she speaks, and it was marvelous

I don’t understand how someone can eat at the Potato P atch often enough to notice a change in the cheese. Yinzers gonna yinz

You forget, yinzers are deathly afraid of change, and take “Who moved my cheese?!”
very
seriously....

It’s a Gouda thing they changed back, otherwise there Colby a riot.

They changed from Heinz to Hunts earlier in the season too and Yinzer were up in arms over that as well.

Knowing Kennywood she probably was legitimately upset with cheese but still a hilarious caption no less.

Aw yeah. Cheese on a stick, an order of Potato Patch f ries, a Pepsi, and a Double Header ice cream cone, or maybe some funnel cake .

I was there a few years ago, but did not know the park changed hands. We had a great time, and the fries were awesome.

As they should be. Anywhere else, and nobody would have noticed.

T rue, but then again a couple laps of the park burns off a lot of those calories.

“I’m pretty passionate about my cheese. I knew immediately. They changed it. Ruined my day. Everybody was complaining about it,”
Her day was ruined by having a different brand of cheese on her fries?

Dunno why it took them so long to think of it, but those fries will be offered from the concession stands during Steelers games this season.

That’s why we stopped at Dairy Queen for a dipped cone on the way home.

Clearly, you’ve never had the Potato Patch fries. If you had , you would know. It would be sort of like ordering a rum and Coke and getting a rum and Pepsi.

I haven’t been there in a few years so I laughed, would never had noticed, but the new owners sure aren’t having a good year trying to cut costs!

If I ordered a rum and coke and was handed a rum and pepsi, I’d shrug and drink my drink. It's still cola.
You are correct, I have never had potato patch fries. I live in PA, but I live in the half that knows that my can of pepsi is called a soda, not pop.

The park itself occupies 80 acres , lots 1-3 probably another 80 or so.

Damn, see now you’ve gone and reminded me how much I miss DQ’s butterscotch dipped cones, not to mention the Rax that used to be across 837 from the park...

The right kind , and Heinz ketchup; they’ve been very emphatic about t hat. I’m pretty sure bringing Hunts into Heinz Field would be like combining matter and antimater...

Mind you, this is on top of ongoing staffing issues, resulting in long lines at the various concession stands and rides. They also got rid of the Sweeperettes (employees who would wander the park with a broom and dustpan) a while back, so the park is anywhere near as clean as it used to be.

It sounds like there is a lot more going on here. My original point was just to remark upon the absurdity of someone saying "my day is ruined because they used a different brand of cheese!" That is a seriously first world problem.

What blows my mind is this fry stand is exclusively inside a theme park. How often is she dropping $50 on a ticket to get fries

If you go to a theme park full of rides and games, and your day is ruined because of subpar cheese fries? I feel like you aren't making the most of your day at the theme park.

What’s weird, the fries or the park?
When I was in college, our dining hall had a few different food lines, one of which served nothing but hamburgers and French fries. On the nights that the regular line served hot roast beef sandwiches, I’d go to the HB line and get a huge plate of fries, then cover the whole pile with beef gravy. It was really good, and probably one of the reasons I’m fat today.

The weird to me is the freak out over cheese sauce at an amusement park. If I go to a park I pretty much expect mediocre food.
I’m just not big on cheese melted over everything- it tastes good, it’s usually overkill.

Kennywood is an old, used-to-be family owned park that was a traditional hangout for people in western PA/eastern OH. It’s the sort of place you would have gone to every summer since you were a kid and then taken your kids to. Lots of tradition, and the fries are one of their iconic dishes. So people definitely noticed.

That accent. The worst offender is “your.” That, and the downward inflection when a question is asked.
